We charge at booking and hold it. Your worker checks in on site and photographs the work. You confirm, and only then do they get paid.
This is the part that makes a stranger safe to hire. Your card is charged when you book, but the money sits with us — not with the worker — until the job is finished and you've seen it.
Every before and after photo is taken inside the app, so each one carries the time and place it was shot. The worker checks in at the address once, and that stamp is what settles any argument about whether they turned up. We don't track anyone between jobs.

Report it before you confirm and nothing is released. A person — not a form — reads the check-in stamp, the photos and the messages, and decides. Workers can appeal too; that cuts both ways on purpose.
Payment protection applies to jobs booked and paid here. It's the reason to keep the work on the app rather than settling up in the driveway.
We built this after reading what crews say about the other platforms. Charging you to quote a job that was never real is the thing everyone hates most, so we don't do it.
